Natalie Parnell

FIDTA FISTD MBATD & CDET Recognised– Principal & Lecturer

 

After leaving school in 1987 Natalie Parnell completed a Performing Arts Course at WK College in Kent. she then trained with the Squires School of Dance  where she gained her teaching qualifications with the ISTD and IDTA. Natalie  went on to perform with various dance companies and performers, including Wayne Sleep and Roy Castle, whilst teaching part-time at the Pineapple Studios in South Kensington.

 

Natalie opened  Natalia’s Dance Academy in Kent 1994 where she renovated premises and owned a full-time successful dance studio which had over 300 students. When she sold it to relocate in 2009.

 

 

She has trained many students intensively  to professional teacher status in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz and Disco Freestyle with a succession of 90 % and above and maintains a teaching role with a Hungarian Ballet Company.

 

As a lecturer at Bromley College she taught Contemporary and Ballet to students of 16 to 19 years preparing students for a Dance and Performing Arts Diploma.

 

Whilst teaching at various performing arts schools in Devon for a year Natalie was accepted as a committee member on to the IDTA South West Theatre Branch Committee and achieved her Fellowship in Ballet. Since she has continued her training in Tap & Modern Fellowships and is on her way to become an IDTA Examiner.

 

On returning to London Natalie opened La Nouvelle School of Ballet and Dance and now runs Two successful branches in Hertfordshire as well as teaching classes for West London Dance Academy in London .

 

Along with teaching children and professionals Natalie is a successful choreographer and adjudicator all over England in her spare time and is also a Fellow of the ISTD.
